Enjoy a half-day of upland bird hunting with our guide. Petar has over 5+ years of experience guiding bird hunters and gained valuable knowledge while working at a private hunting club for several years. His dog, Baloo, has seen more birds than treats - Baloo is a smart, bird-driven hunting dog and has a reputation we proudly stand by.

What to expect

We will be hunting a piece of land roughly half an hour north of Calgary near Carstairs called Wessex Game Birds. Wessex Game Birds provides a range of upland birds and has roughly 320 acres of land, providing exceptional cover to hunt. The birds will be released before you arrive and a minimum of 10 birds is required per hunt. Keep in mind, that the more birds purchased, the more time and land we will be able to hunt. Wessex Game Birds charges roughly $30 a bird, plus our charge for guiding is $120 per hour.

Safety is our number one priority for all participants. There will be a 15 minute safety briefing before you start your hunt and those who are not following safety protocols could result in the extermination from the hunt. Every hunter MUST be equipped with blaze orange clothing, safety glasses, and earplugs.

If you wish to book your trip with us, a 50% deposit is required. For all guided trips, a minimum of 48 hours notice is required for a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 48 hours of notice prior to your scheduled trip, no refund is given. Where mutually agreeable, a trip can be rescheduled with no penalty, provided the date is within the same calendar year.
